The Executive Committee, elected at the A.G.M., comprises one student and two members of staff.
It acts as a ‘Steering Committee’ and deals with day-to-day decisions, monitoring plans for the Annual Conference and approving the agenda of General Meetings.
The Executive is structured as follows:
President (Student Member) - Chairs meetings and leads organisation Executive Director (Staff Member) - Organises negotiators and is a supplementary supplier contact Treasurer (Staff Member) - Deals with all financial matters
The Northern Services Executive meets several times a year to fulfil its role as ‘Steering Group’. Meeting dates are not pre-determined. Please contact us using the link in the top menu to find out the date of the next Executive meeting.
Members can, after login, download minutes from previous Executive meetings. This list of minutes is kept as up-to-date as possible.

On a day to day basis relationship are managed by negotiators drawn from member Unions, the Executive Director is the point of contact between the negotiators and the elected Executive. |

| | | | | As Treasurer of Northern Services I am responsible for the preparation of the annual accounts and maintaining membership records. I also have the pleasure of paying invoices and returning discounts cheques back to members. I am currently involved in gathering information from members to assist with the introduction of a fairer voting system for commercial decisions. At the QM Union I hold the post of General Manager and I am responsible for bars, catering, retail, entertainment as well as administration and domestic services. Fortunately I am supported by a dedicated management team who believe in the delivery of quality services to the students of Glasgow University. | | | | | |
